The old Nick Hammond Spiderman series was short-lived and has developed a cult following. There are critics to the program who talk about it not capturing the spirit of the comic book. Folks, they only had so much money to work with and, honestly, superhero programs did not have a track record for success. The Hulk was a hit but the pilots for Doctor Strange and Captain America did not draw audiences. Spiderman was a cool show, but it could not sustain an audience. There were some cool episodes as part of the mix. Night of the Clones is one of my favorites and it was based on the original clone storyline that appeared maybe a couple years earlier in the comics.
